Undergraduate Real Estate Case Competition Hosted By The University of Guelph
URECC is an annual real estate case competition that challenges undergraduate students to redefine the built form environment by completing a full scale development proposal and bid on an iconic piece of the Toronto landscape.
URECC's goal is to give students a realistic experience that mimics the development process. The case is provided and judged by industry professionals, creating an impactful learning experience for students.
Due to COVID-19, this years URECC will be hosted digitally on March 19th, 2021.
The Case
Students are given one month to create a development proposal which includes financial, market and sustainability analyses, zoning considerations and overall feasibility. On the day of the competition, students present to a panel of industry professionals sitting in as investors. Our sponsors will award over $20,000 to the students and proposals they decide are the best.
