I am a 4th year student at the University of Guelph, where I am enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce's Real Estate Co-op program. During the summer, I was employed by CLV Group, where I was a Customer Care Coordinator/Site Coordinator.
I also have previously worked for Community Trust in their Commercial Lending Department and for the digital appraisal management company ValueConnect. These experiences have provided relevant experiences in the areas of commercial lending/underwriting, real estate appraisal reports, and real estate investment strategies. These valuable skills will assist me in creating my own real estate investment portfolio upon graduation.
This is my second year with URECC and I look forward to leading my team in organizing a great competition.
Vice President, Coporate Relations
I am currently in my third year of studies at the University of Guelph, Majoring in Real Estate. This is my second year on the URECC team and I am beyond excited for this year’s event! I am extremely proud to be a part of the Real Estate major and I am glad that this program specializes in such diverse aspects of the rapidly growing and changing real estate markets. This case competition is the perfect way to bring passionate students and real estate professionals together under one roof for a day of hard work and lots of fun!
I see myself in real estate management and development during my co-op, with an end goal of investing in multifamily properties in pursuit of financial freedom. I hope the experiences I have with Co-op, URECC, and the RESA alike help shape who I become both professionally and personally.
Vice President, Delegate Outreach
I am currently in my 4th year majoring in the Real Estate and Housing Program. As this is my first year on URECC, I am eager to develop lasting relationships with the URECC team and participating delegates from around the world. Although this years competition will operate differently due to COVID-19, I am looking forward to working alongside my team members to arrange an interactive competition for all participants.
I have had the opportunity to work in multiple sectors within the Real Estate Industry, most recently with Allied Properties REIT on the Asset Management team. This unique experience allowed me to develop tangible skills such as completing analyses for various deal structures including tenant retention, use conversion, and capital expenditure returns. Upon graduating in 2022, I am looking forward to applying these experiences to a career path in the Commercial Real Estate Industry.
Vice President, Events
I am currently in my third year at the University of Guelph majoring in the Real Estate and Housing Co-op program. This is my second year being a part of URECC and I am very excited to be taking on the role as Vice President of Events. I am proud to be a part of such an amazing event with my peers and work diligently to prepare a great competition.
Entering my third year, I am aiming towards pursuing a career in property management or real estate development. I am thankful to have experiences such as my recent Co-op work term with Johnvince Foods and being a part of URECC as well as the RESA. I believe these experiences help better shape my understanding of Real Estate and provide me with skills to assist me in my future career upon graduation.
I am a fourth-year student at the University of Guelph, and I am enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce Real Estate and Housing Co-op program. This is my first year on the URECC team as the Director of Events, and given my strong interest in real estate development, I value the opportunity to be involved in such an amazing event which showcases the skills of the sharpest, most proactive undergraduate minds in the real estate industry. I am extremely excited to be part of the organizing team for this year’s event, and I am confident it will be a successful one amid the global health crisis that we are all living through. As a Co-op student, I have had amazing work experiences including two terms at MPAC (Municipal Property Assessment Corporation) as well as one term at BuzzBuzzHome. I am very proud to call myself a student of the Real Estate major at the University of Guelph and upon graduation, I see myself working in the Real Estate Development industry.
Director, Delegate Outreach
I am a fourth-year student at the University of Guelph, and I am enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce Real Estate and Housing Co-op program. This is my first year on the URECC team and I am more than excited to be a part of this year’s event. I have worked several co-op terms with Homestead Land Holdings, who are a leading property management company in North America. Over the past months the pandemic has created changes to all aspects of our lives and I have had the opportunity to help my co-op company adapt to these changes. I am excited to be able to transfer these skills I have learned to the URECC team, and in my position as Director of Delegates, I feel equipped to establish and maintain relationships with Canadian schools, especially with the potential changes to the URECC event due to the current obstacles our world is facing.
I see myself pursuing property management after graduation with an end goal of managing a portfolio of my own personally owned properties. I know that my education in REH, my co-op placements, and my experience with the URECC team will help me reach both my long-term professional and personal goals.
