2022 URECC Team
Alexia is a fifth year University of Guelph student majoring in the Real Estate and Housing Co-op program. Alexia previously held the position of VP, International Delegate Outreach where she developed strong relations and recruited teams from across the United States, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Alexia has had the opportunity to work in multiple sectors within the Commercial Real Estate Industry including CBRE and most recently, Allied Properties REIT on the Asset Management and Acquisitions teams. These experiences have allowed her to develop excellent team working and communication skills that she can apply in a leadership setting.
Aashna is a third year commerce student sitting as VP of Corporate Relations. This is her second year on URECC. Aashna is also a co-op student majoring in real estate and looks forward to the return of an in person competition this year!
International Delegate Outreach
Nick Stavros is a fifth year at the University of Guelph and is enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce Real Estate and Housing Co-op program. He was the Director of Events for URECC, and this year will hold the VP International Delegate Outreach position. Given his strong interest in real estate development, he values the opportunity to be involved in an amazing event which showcases the skills of the sharpest, most proactive undergraduate minds in the real estate industry. Last year, Nick and the rest of the URECC team successfully organized the first ever virtual URECC event and the team is looking forward to coming back to an in-person event this year. He is very proud to call himself a student of the Real Estate major at the University of Guelph, and he is confident this year’s event will be a successful one.
Canadian Delegate Outreach
Sydney Copping is currently a fourth-year student at the University of Guelph majoring in the Real Estate and Housing Co-op program. This is her third year being a part of URECC and will be taking on the role as Vice President of Delegate Outreach for Canadian Universities.
Entering fourth-year, Sydney is aiming towards pursuing a career in real estate appraisal or real estate development. Her co-op placement at Antec Appraisal Group as a Research Assistant has advanced her interest in real estate appraisal. Experiences and events hosted by the University of Guelph’s Real Estate Student Association, have further developed her interest in Real Estate and provided skills that she will use in her future career upon graduation.
Lauren is a third year student at the University of Guelph, majoring in Real Estate and Housing Co-op program. This will be her first year on the URECC team and she is eager this year’s upcoming event. Lauren’s volunteer experience with the Varsity Women’s Soccer Team’s social media has equipped her with many skills that she is excited to bring to this event. Lauren is currently completing her first co-op term with the marketing team at Coldwell Banker Neumann, she is learning everyday how to innovate and adapt with social trends. She is excited to be a part of the planning and execution of the 2022 event through her role as the Director of Marketing.
In the future, Lauren wants to become a residential real estate agent, with the ultimate goal of owning her own brokerage. Lauren is proud to call herself a gryphon and to be a part of an amazing team.
Julian is a fifth year student in the Real Estate (Co-op) major. He has held co-op positions at Kaneff Properties and BuzzBuzzHome.
This is his first year on URECC, and while he has never planned a case competition, he has participated on teams that represented the University of Guelph in two real estate case competitions. He is very excited to contribute his ideas and what he has experienced at those events to help the team with planning URECC 2022!
He has a strong interest in property development, specifically on the project management, and hopes to pursue a career in this area of the industry.
